The Story Behind NITACON
Ending the entry-level crowding-out trap.
In Nigeria today, when an employer posts an entry-level opening, hundreds of candidates with 3 to 5 years of experience flood the queue. We built NITACON to protect that first step—creating a dedicated space where students, NYSC corps members, and fresh graduates are discovered for what they have actually built.
- Dedicated exclusively to early-career talent
- Evaluated on GitHub commits and live work
- Zero fees for students and graduates
- Rooted in the NYSC placement cycle
The Problem We Lived Through
The job hunt space in Nigeria is broken in both directions.
Why generic job boards fail young Nigerians, and why employers get overwhelmed by noise.
The Entry-Level Crowding-Out Trap
Every year, Nigerian tertiary institutions graduate hundreds of thousands of ambitious young minds. But when a startup or corporate company posts an “entry-level” or junior vacancy on traditional job boards, the difficult economic climate forces experienced professionals with 3 to 5 years under their belt to apply en masse.
Recruiters open the first 50 applications, see multi-year resumes, and hire them. The actual final-year students, fresh graduates, and NYSC corpers—the exact cohort entry-level roles were meant for—are buried at applicant #2,410. They never get a chance.
Unverifiable Claims & Predatory Scams
At the same time, employers who genuinely want to mentor and hire junior engineers drown in unverified PDF CVs where anyone can claim to have built a payments gateway or a fullstack web app. Recruiters spend days sifting through noise rather than evaluating genuine skill.
Meanwhile, desperate job seekers in Lagos and Abuja are targeted by predatory job scams—charging ₦10,000 to ₦15,000 for “registration fees”, training, or uniforms. Young talent is left cynical, weary, and blocked by nepotism.
The Like-Minded Community
A protected bridge for people who value proof over paper.
We built NITACON so employers and early-career talent can meet on a level playing field.

You are not reduced to a one-page PDF that gets ignored. You build a Talent Passport backed by verified GitHub commits, live deployed demo sites, and a short video pitch. You are discovered for what you can build, not who you know.
For Forward-Thinking Employers
You come here because you want high-potential, fast-learning graduates and NYSC corps members you can shape into long-term company leaders. Search and shortlist freely. Pay only for conversations you start, refunded if there is no response.
